About Gone to the Dogs
Hi, I’m Theresa!
I became a dog trainer because of my crazy, wonderful yellow Lab, Milo. When Milo came in to my life I realized that even though I had dogs all my life, I never trained one. I decided to enroll us in a six week basic training course. I soon realized that this training was just scratching the surface.
The training center was looking for interns and I applied and was blessed to be accepted. After interning for a few years, I knew I loved dog training and became a certified professional trainer through the Karen Pryor Academy.
Sixteen years ago I took in a stray dog (Milo) and wanted to give her the best possible life. However, it has been Milo that has completely changed my life and all for the better.
Summary:
In August 2015, I graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) Dog Trainer Professional program, I am a KPA Certified Training Partner (CTP).
My training center is located at 6 Bourbon Street in Peabody, behind In the Zone, just off of Lowell street next to Lucky Dogs Daycare. I offer group classes as well as private sessions.
I’m based on the North Shore of Massachusetts and offer private training sessions in your home at your convenience. During the training sessions I aim to increase your understanding of gentle, effective clicker training.
